OUR HERITAGE
Three Generations of Craftsmanship
Capital Roofing Co. Ltd was founded in 1968 by Eric Peck as a flat roofing contractor serving South East London. What started as a small family operation has grown into one of the most respected roofing companies in the capital, with expertise spanning more than twelve roofing disciplines.
The business remains family owned and managed. Eric's sons took the company forward through the 1980s and 1990s, expanding into pitched roofing, leadwork, copper work, mastic asphalt, and liquid waterproofing. Today, the third generation of the Peck family continues to lead the business, with grandsons and granddaughters carrying forward the values and standards that Eric established over half a century ago.
From the beginning, Capital Roofing has invested in its people. The company carries at least four apprentices at any given time, and several of those apprentices have gone on to win national awards and represent Great Britain at the NFRC World Roofing Championships. In 2002, Capital Roofing became the first roofing company in the UK to be recognised as an Investor in People.
That commitment to training, quality, and safety has been recognised with over 100 industry awards, including the NFRC Gold Safety Award every year since 2004 and the 2021 Global Award for Roofing Company of the Year.

We look to the future by training apprentices, adopting new technologies like drone surveys and advanced liquid waterproofing systems, and maintaining the ISO-certified quality and environmental management systems that give our clients confidence in every project we undertake.
